Joylux

Revolutionary, home-use device for the treatment of pelvic floor disorders.
At a glance:

Design 1st transformed Joylux's innovative industrial design (napkin sketch product concept) for a medical device that uses high output near IR LED light into a FDA regulatory approved product. Challenges with a portable unit were high heat, high energy required from a battery operated unit. The product uses light therapy and sonic vibration to rejuvenate tissue damage from childbirth and aging.

Design 1st turned the concept idea into a functional prototype to allow user testing in 16 weeks. This enabled technology and features refinement and Intellectual Property filing prior to the expensive investment in a regulatory approved controlled device, the production tooling and manufacturing set up inventory investment.

3D CAD Rendering of product, closely following the early concept sketches that got marketing and users excited about the product.
The Joylux team required an experienced, creative design-engineering team to guide us through the development and set up of our manufacturing. The Design 1st team was first class, they helped transform our technology and marketing goals into a world-class product to help women.
